Merton Singfest is a day when choirs from the Borough sing throughout the day and share an anthem written especially for the event. As organisers of the event, Wimbledon Choral is very happy to announce a composing competition for the Anthem to be sung at next year's Merton Singfest on Saturday 8 May 2027.

Everyone is eligible to take part and there is no cost for entry. You don't have to be a member of a choir to participate.

The anthem must be about the joy of singing with optional four part (SATB) harmony and be no more than 3 minutes in length.
Entrants are welcome to choose any text, or write their own text, but any necessary copyright permissions must have been obtained by the entrant prior to submission. Librettists should be clearly disclosed on the score.
Submission requirements
Entries should be submitted in the form of a pdf file. Other digital files e.g. Sibelius, may also be submitted, but only in addition to the required pdf file.
