If you have already supplied the details of your repertoire, the number of singers in the choir and the name of your accompanist (if required) then thank you very much.
If not then please let me know as soon as you possibly can so that we get the schedule finalised.
1) Each choir participating has a 15 minute slot to sing the music they choose.
2) Each choir should have received a copy of the Anthem & Anthem aids - please let me know if this is not the case.
3) At the beginning of each concert there will be a rehearsal of the Anthem which takes place with choirs seated.
4) At the end of each concert all choirs join together on the stage to perform the Anthem.
5) The colour for SingFest is yellow. It would be appreciated if all choir members, and leaders, could include some visible yellow item in their wardrobe on the day - sweater, jacket, shirt, tie, scarf, etc.
6) Please arrive about 15 minutes in advance of your concert time to allow for seating. Spaces will be allocated for each choir with names being appended to the pews. There will be a degree of chaos with singers arriving and leaving but it all comes together. 😁
7) If you bring supporters, and we very much hope you will, it is not possible for them to sit with the choirs. Please would you ask that they stand at the back until singers are all seated and then occupy whatever pews are left (space available depends on individual choir size).
8) Refreshments are served throughout the day. If members of your choir, or supporters, are able to provide food and/or help with the selling activity this would be much appreciated. Please let me know and I will put you in touch with Brigid @ WCS who has agreed to coordinate - which is much appreciated.
9) Singers need to remain for their entire concert and are free to stay for the next concert if they wish to do so.
10) SingFest is a joyous occasion listening to singers across the age range and joining in with some choirs. If you have friends who like music this is a great day to come, sit, listen and enjoy - and it is FREE. It might be an idea to bring a cushion as pews can be a bit hard over time. 😳
